How To Fix Microsoft Office Error 32-4

Repair Difficulty : Easy

Step 1: Uninstall/Remove Previous Microsoft Office installation 
Note: If you are doing fresh installation you can skip this step

1) Press Win Button and Type “Control Panel” and Press Enter.

2) Open Program and Features from Control Panel Window.
3) Type “Microsoft Office” in the Search box and select your office installation.

4) Click on Uninstall and follow the steps.

Step 2: Disable Windows Firewall

In case of Microsoft Windows 8 follow the steps below.
1) Press Win key + Q and type Control Panel

2) In Control Panel Window, Open Windows Firewall.
3) On left hand side you will find “Turn Windows Firewall on or off”

Note: You will need Administrator privilege to disable Windows firewall.


4) Click on “Turn off Windows Firewall (not recommended)” under each of the active network connections.

Step 3: Try installing Microsoft office again.

Step 1 : Remove Previous Office installation
1) Download “Fix it” Tool from Microsoft Windows Website. Here is the Link: http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9815935
2) Download the file to your system.

Note: Name of the file generally starts with O15CTRRemove.
3) Open the tool and follow the onscreen instructions.
4) After the “Fix it” tool is done , try Reinstalling office 2013/365 again.

Step 3: Disable Windows Firewall
For Windows 7

1) Click Start Button and type “Control Panel” in search box and Click on it.

2) In Control Panel Window, type firewall in the search box and click on Windows Firewall.

3) Tap On “Turn Windows Firewall on or off”
Note: You will need Administrator rights to disable firewall.

4) Turn Off Windows Firewall and Press “OK” Button.

Step 4 : Try installing Microsoft office again.

Select drive for diskcleanup
3) Select the OS Drive and Press OK.
Disk Cleanup Press ok
4) Finally Click on “Clean up System Files”

Step 5: Run the office install again.

How To Fix Microsoft Office Error 30045-4

Step 1: Check Proxy Setting Issue
1) Goto Control Panel.
Microsoft Windows 7 : Click On Start and then Click On Cotrol Panel from Right window.
Microsoft Windows 8 : Press Windows key + R and type ”Control” and Press Enter.

2) In Control Panel Window Click on ”Internet Options”.
3) Select Connections Tab and then Click On LAN Setting.

4) Turn off ”Use a proxy server for your LAN” if its switched ON.

Step 2: Disable Firewall

How to Disable Firewall 

In Microsoft Windows 7

1) Click Start Button or Press Win key and in right hand side Click on Control Panel.

2) In Control Panel , type firewall in the search box and click on ”Windows Firewall”.

3) Click On “Turn Windows Firewall on or off”

Note: If you are logged in as Normal user you will be asked to enter Admin Password

4) Under ”Home or Work Network Location Settings” And ”Public Network Location Settings” Click On ”Turn Off Windows Firewall”

Note: Please Activate Windows Firewall after office 2013/365 installation is complete.

Microsoft Windows 8

1) Press ”Win + R” and Type ”Firewall.cpl” and Press Enter.

2) Microsoft Windows 8 Firewall Window will Open.

3) Click On ”Turn Windows Firewall on or off”

Note: If you are logged in as Normal user you will be asked to enter Admin Password

4) Turn Off Windows Firewall and Press ”OK” Button.

Step 3: Repair Or Uninstall Microsoft Office

In Windows 8
1) Press Win+R button and Type ”Control panel” followed by Enter key.

2) Open Program and Features from Control Panel .

3) Select your Office Installation from the list
4) Click on Uninstall and follow the onscreen instructions.

Step 4: Try the Microsoft Office 3013/365/2010 Installation again.

In most cases error code 30045-4 should be resolved by now, if however the problem still persists we recommend to get your system checked by an expert.
